RePAWposed 2025 – Where Art Gets a Second Life – and So Do The Animals

Calling all art lovers, animal advocates, and fans of fabulous second chances!

This July, Noordhoek Art Point Gallery is once again going to the (rescue) dogs – and cats – with the much-loved return of RePAWposed, an unforgettable art-meets-heart exhibition and auction in support of TEARS Animal Rescue.

After a roaring success in 2024, the RePAWposed 2025 edition promises even more paws, paint, and purpose. Launching mid-July and culminating in a feel-good, bid-hard auction on Friday 01 August 2025, this year’s show is all about turning something old into something bold.

“This isn’t your average walk-through-and-nod art exhibition,” says Aimee Kruger, artist and co-owner of Noordhoek Art Point Gallery. “RePAWposed is about wild creativity, local talent, and using art to bring hope to rescue animals. It’s uplifting, it’s surprising – and it’s a little bit cheeky!”

Over 20 local artists will unleash their imaginations on forgotten artworks – canvases once gathering dust in TEARS charity shops – transforming them into beautiful, whimsical, and sometimes downright hilarious new masterpieces. From serene landscapes turned safari adventures to floral still life’s with a feline twist, you never know what you’ll find… but you’ll definitely want to take one home.

The gallery opens its doors to the RePAWposed collection in mid-July, giving visitors plenty of time to browse (and fall in love with) the artworks ahead of the main event:

Bring your friends, your flair for bidding, and your compassion. All proceeds from the auction go directly to TEARS Animal Rescue, a beloved local organisation doing incredible work to protect and rehome animals in need.

Last year, RePAWposed raised over R40,000 – and this year, with your help, we’re aiming even higher.

When you bid on a piece at RePAWposed, you’re not just getting a conversation-starting artwork (although, trust us, you are). You’re giving an abandoned animal a second chance – at shelter, at care, and at love.

“It’s one of the most joyful nights of the year,” says Kruger. “There’s music, there’s wine, there’s laughter, and there’s always a mad dash to outbid your neighbour for that one incredible piece. And at the heart of it all is a cause that really matters.”
