What is the Energy Sector Strategy?

The Energy Sector Strategy was developed to provide strategic guidelines for the empowerment of women and its joint implementation by energy companies both private and public will enable coordinated integration and mainstreaming of gender in all aspects of South Africa’s energy sector.

Why was the Energy Sector Gender Ministerial Advisory Council established?

The Energy Sector Gender Ministerial Advisory Council is established to provide strategic and technical support and advice to the Minister and his Executive on the implementation of the Energy Sector Gender Strategy. The Council will report on sectoral implementation progress to the Minister.
