Minister Mantashe to address the Solar Power Africa conference

The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe (MP) will on Wednesday, 16 February 2022, address the Solar Power Africa 2022 Conference set to take place from 16 to 18 February 2022 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

The Solar Power Africa 2022 Conference is convened by the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) in partnership with Messe Frankfurt South Africa (MFSA). The Conference brings together key industry players to discuss pressing energy issues, gain insights from industry expects, unpack key trends and developments while developing and sharing solutions to a range of challenges faced by the industry.

The Conference will be preceded by a Ministerial engagement with Chief Executive Officers in the industry at a breakfast session to be hosted by the Department. The engagements will focus primarily on the sector’s contribution to the country’s empowerment agenda.
