Launch of the Spark Tank Green Technology initiative at One Point Five Degrees Africa’s Net Zero Conference Exhibition and Experience

Silicon Cape and the One Point Five Degrees Africa’s Net Zero Conference Exhibition and Experience have partnered to launch the Spark Tank Green Technology initiative which is sponsored by Eskom.

The Spark Tank initiative is designed to promote innovative green technology concepts and entrepreneurship among tertiary students in South Africa. This initiative will support the development of sustainable solutions that can contribute to the transition towards a low-carbon economy.

The One Point Five Degrees Africa’s Net Zero Conference Exhibition and Experience, to be held from 28 to 30 March 2023, is a key platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities of the net-zero transition in Africa. The event will bring together government officials, business leaders, academics, and civil society representatives to exchange ideas and showcase innovative solutions.

Through the Spark Tank initiative, we hope to encourage youth participation in issues that affect our communities by providing a platform to showcase their ideas and network with potential investors. Finalists will have the opportunity to attend the conference and exhibition and pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.
