**Consulting Engineers South Africa will be holding a branch function in Limpopo on 3 October 2024 from 07:30 to 11:00 at the Meropa Casino and Entertainment World in Polokwane.
The event will be attended by its President David Leukes and CEO Chris Campbell together with key representatives from the Limpopo Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent, and the Department of Limpopo Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure.
CESA’s focus on a “A Call for Diverse and Collaborative Leadership – Stronger Together to Secure a Sustainable Future for Us All,” will focus on current and future infrastructure plans and implementation strategies for the country, with a special focus on Limpopo.
As South Africa is grappling with a deficiency in public logistics infrastructure, including roads, rail, and ports, alongside widespread disarray in essential services such as healthcare facilities, schools, and water and sanitation services, there is a dire need for urgent attention and decisive action to address these multifaceted infrastructure shortcomings.
Therefore, industry and government must actively promote and contribute to an environment that fosters collaboration and understanding, notes CESA President David Leukes, who will unpack more of this at the branch event, also attended by CESA’s member firms. Guest speakers from relevant departments in Limpopo will also share insights on infrastructure development in the province.
