Calling all SMMEs and start-ups with Innovative Cleantech Solutions

Do you have an innovative clean technology solution that could:

•Help solve the environmental threats facing the world?

•Help change the lives of millions of South Africans by contributing to clean water, health, off-grid electricity or sanitation?

Then this is for you…

The Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIPSA) of the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) invites entrepreneurs with innovative clean technology solutions to submit applications for its annual competition and business accelerator. Although all applications will be considered, we would like to especially encourage female, young and black entrepreneurs to apply

Submission should:

Be new and ground-breaking or incorporate adaptation of existing technologies; or use existing technologies in unique applications.

Have protectable Intellectual Property. Demonstrate a feasible concept and product with the potential for commercialisation.

Technology stage: Proof of concept up to pre-commercialisation.

Team size: At least two people, one of whom is a SA resident, citizen or legal alien.

The opportunity

The programme offers extensive mentoring, training, access to investors, opportunities to showcase innovations to the media and the market, and a chance to win a cash prize and an overseas trip to compete with the best cleantech innovators globally
